Welcome to Snipcask. Snipcask is an online multi-vendor digital marketplace for software source code, website themes, plugins, mobile applications, and digital graphic assets.
This Privacy Policy describes how Zephtec Digital Solutions ("Snipcask", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you access or use our website, register an account, purchase digital assets, or register as an author/seller.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, facilitate transactions, and comply with applicable statutory obligations.
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Registration: When you register on Snipcask, we collect your username, full name, email address, and account password.
- Purchases & Billing: When you buy a digital product, we collect billing details including your name, billing address, country/state, phone number, and tax identification details (if applicable for business invoices).
- Author / Vendor Details: If you register as a seller, we collect payout information (such as bank account details, UPI ID, or digital wallet email), tax declarations, and government identification records required for identity verification and anti-fraud checks.
- Communications & Support: Information you share when submitting support tickets, inquiries, or contacting us through our Contact Us page.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Log & Technical Data: Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, device identifier, operating system, referral URLs, pages viewed, time spent on the platform, and system crash logs.
- Transaction & Download Records: Records of licenses purchased, invoice histories, download timestamps, and file version access.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, session tokens, and local storage to remember your login session, persist your shopping cart, maintain security, and analyze platform traffic.
C. Payment Information
All payment transactions are processed securely through accredited third-party payment aggregators and gateways (such as Razorpay, PayU, or international gateways). Snipcask does not process, capture, or store sensitive payment credentials (such as credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or Net Banking credentials) on its servers. All payment data is tokenized and transmitted directly to the licensed payment processor under PCI-DSS standards.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for specific operational, commercial, and legal purposes:
- Fulfilling Orders: To grant instant digital download permissions, issue license keys, and generate verifiable digital invoices.
- Marketplace Administration: To manage user accounts, verify vendor submissions, calculate marketplace commissions, and process author payout settlements.
- Platform Security & Fraud Prevention: To verify account integrity, monitor unauthorized script redistribution or piracy, detect malicious code, and mitigate fraudulent payment chargebacks.
- Transactional Communications: To send account verification links, purchase receipts, security alerts, product update notices, and vendor statement summaries.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance: To maintain financial and tax records as required under applicable commercial, corporate, and electronic commerce laws.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We disclose your data only under the following limited circumstances:
- Between Buyers and Authors: When a buyer purchases a digital asset, the author receives relevant transactional metadata (such as the buyer’s username, license type, and date of purchase) necessary to deliver technical support, manage licensing, and issue invoices. Authors are contractually prohibited from using this data for unauthorized off-platform marketing.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted vendors that provide critical infrastructure services, including:
- Payment gateways (for payment settlement and dispute resolution).
- Cloud hosting and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) for platform performance and DDoS protection.
- Transactional email delivery service providers.
- Business Transfers: If Zephtec Digital Solutions undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred as part of the business assets with prior notification.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data if required to do so by court order, law enforcement request, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety, rights, and property of Snipcask, our users, or the public.
4. Cookies and Web Analytics
Snipcask uses essential and analytical cookies to ensure regular site operations:
- Essential Cookies: Mandatory for authentication, account security, and active shopping cart persistence. Disabling these via your browser may prevent you from logging in or completing purchases.
- Analytical Cookies: Help us aggregate non-identifiable usage statistics to evaluate page load speeds, catalog discovery, and interface usability.
You can configure your browser to block or alert you about cookies, but certain core features of the marketplace may cease to function correctly.
5. Data Storage, Transfer, and Security
- Security Safeguards: We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—including SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption for all data in transit, firewalled database systems, access token validation, and password hashing—to safeguard your data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
- Data Retention: We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services. We retain transactional and financial records for the duration required by taxation and accounting statutes.
- International Transfers: If you access Snipcask from outside India, your information will be processed and stored on servers that may be located in India or our distributed cloud network. By using our platform, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable privacy legislation (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the General Data Protection Regulation where applicable), you have the following rights:
- Access & Rectification: You can view, update, or correct your personal profile information directly within your Snipcask account dashboard.
- Account Deletion / Erasure: You can request account deletion by submitting a request via our support system. Upon verification, we will delete your personal data, subject to our statutory obligations to retain transaction, billing, and tax records.
- Revocation of Consent: You may withdraw consent for non-essential communications (such as marketing announcements) at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in our emails or updating your notification preferences.
7. Protection of Minors
Snipcask is intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 and older who are legally capable of entering into binding contracts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we learn that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to remove the information and terminate the account.
